Uttarakhand is fondly known as the “Land of Gods,” and you will find at least a temple on almost every route. The entire state emanates positivity and proves to be living to its title. Trekking in Uttarakhand is a very engaging activity that keeps you glued to the mystical surroundings of many Himalayan summits and peaks. The many alluring trekking routes such as Valley of flowers, Kedarkantha, Roopkund lake, Chopta-Chandrashila trek, Pindari glacier, Nanda Devi, Kuari Pass trek, Deoria Tal, Dodital trek, Dayara Bugyal trek, Har-ki-dun trek, Gaumukh trek, Kalindi Khal trek and etc.

The famous Roopkund lake is at an elevation of 14638 feet and the route is called the “mystery lake” because human skeletons were found around it. It is one of the best summer treks in Uttarakhand which can be done by beginners as well. Kedarkantha, Chopta and Chandrashila trek, Dayara Bugyal and Dodital trek are some of the few treks that are best suitable for the beginners. The treks mostly start with beautiful green trails and then gradually changes its landscape to snow-laden earth and beautiful majestic peaks around.

Valley of flowers in Uttarakhand is a UNESCO world heritage site and is an adorable place to adorn an entire valley covered in pretty flowers. This valley is a photographer's paradise and alluring to every nature lover. It is an easy trek of narrow passages, steep climbs, and craggy terrains. Even the religious trek of Kedarnath is edifying and the day-long trek has a very defined path to walk on.

The best part about these week-long trekking expeditions is the campsites, sometimes you camp in the appealing environs surrounded by alpine meadows and sound of a trickling river and sometimes you camp in the snow-covered plains encircled with a magnificent cluster of sky touching peaks. The bonfires and the self-made food are a bliss in the freezing wind and temperature at night. The starry nights and the newly made friends are an experience of a lifetime. The entire state is blessed with Himalayan ranges and some of the gorgeous valleys and rivers. One can’t believe it until they trek it!
