It is here that the mighty river Alaknanda also known as 'Vishnu Ganga' blends with the river Dhauliganga that flows from the Niti Valley. Lord Vishnu who according to one legend appeared on this very spot to bless RishimuniNarad, Vishnuprayag is heavenly in its appearance.
